Tekashi 6ix9ine Has More Legal Problems On His Hands

An online retailer claimed that Tekashi’s team kept them in the dark about the case against him.

Tekashi 6ix9ine might be a free man in a matter of months but he has another legal headache to deal with.

  • Last week, Tekashi learned that he will officially be released from prison on August 2. It’s been speculated that he plans to move out of New York out of concern for his safety. He also has to factor in the mandated five years of supervised release. But to make matters worse, he has also found himself entangled in a lawsuit as well.

  • According to TMZ, online fashion retailer Fashion Nova has filed a lawsuit against the Brooklyn rap artist seeking $2.25 million. The popular e-commerce shop reportedly struck a deal with Tekashi in October 2018 to have him promote the brand on his social media page as well as music. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, he was given an advance of $225,000 as part of the deal. However, Tekashi, whose birth name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested and locked up two weeks after he inked the deal, and therefore, could no longer uphold his end of the bargain.

  • Furthermore, Fashion Nova claimed that Tekashi’s testimony during his trial tarnished its image, and thus, he would no longer be a good fit as a brand ambassador. The online retailer also claimed it had no idea Tekashi was involved in criminal activity, and that his team kept them in the dark about the federal racketeering case that was brought against him.

Fashion says Tekashi agreed to return the $225,000 but that never happened, spurring them to take legal action against him.
