On Monday afternoon, a schizophrenic woman pushed a stranger in front of a NYC subway train — killing her on site. 

At the Times Square-42nd Street station, Melanie Liverpool-Turner, 30, pushed Connie Watton, 49, in front of an approaching downtown 1 train. Last month, Liverpool-Turner lied to NYPD cops about pushing a different woman to her death at a subway station, reported the NY Post.

Police believe the women did not know each other and they are not clear of a possible motive for the killing.

After Watton, of Astoria, Queens, was struck by the train, other witnesses alerted authorities and Liverpool-Turner was taken into custody, said police.

In October, Liverpool-Turner lied to police about pushing a female German college student in front of a train at the Union Square station, police sources said.

However, police learned through an investigation that Liverpool-Turner made the story up. Some attributed her lie to her a history of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

The truth was the 19-year-old German student struggled with depression over a recent breakup and committed suicide, police said.

“Maybe that’s what inspired her to do what she did today,” a police source said Monday.

An MTA worker alleged that Liverpool-Turner looked “proud” after she shoved the victim onto the tracks.

“About five minutes ago, 20 police officers escorted her out . . . Her head was up — kinda proud of what she did,” the MTA worker told the NY Post.

Manhattan Chief of Detectives William Aubry made an official statement at a press conference.

“Our hearts go out to the victim and the other people who were on the platform and saw this,” Aubry said. “We are looking at video of this incident and the person of interest as they entered the station.
