[Watch] Allen Iverson Is Still Talking About 'Practice'
Nearly 15 years later... and Allen Iverson is still talking about "practice."
Fresh off of officially being named a headliner for the 2016 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class on Monday, "The Answer" spent part of the day reliving his infamous 2002 rant, in which he sai,d "we talking about practice," 22 times in one press conference.
Just like Iverson explained in his documentary last year, A.I. entered the media session already irked, as he was reeling from the death of his best friend. At the same time, he was excited to use the conference to put trade rumors about the Philadelphia 76ers moving him to bed.
"I was so ecstatic and happy that I could go into that press conference and tell the whole Philadelphia and the rest of the world, 'Don't worry about the trade rumors, I ain't going nowhere," Iverson told reporters Monday, according to USA Today. "But they asking me about... [practice]."
At that moment, Comcast SportsNet reporter Neil Hartman interjected, revealing it was him who originally asked Iverson about practice, sparking the notorious rant.
"If you would've said something about lasagna at that point, I would've kept saying, 'lasagna,'" Iverson said, continuing reliving the rant. "I was already on edge. I was already mad."
After all these years, this Iverson "practice" rant still rings off and entertains as an all-time epic sports meltdown.
The Answer is truly a 1-of-1.
