Ice Spice And Lil Tjay Host Bronx Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway
Bronx rappers Ice Spice and Lil Tjay hosted a turkey giveaway ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday in their native hometown on Wednesday night (Nov. 16).
Footage surfaced of the artists donating to close to 150 families and showed a massive crowd of fans screaming at the surprise as they handed out free turkeys.
“We in The Bronx. Listen, I got a whole lot of turkeys to give out,” TJay said in a video he uploaded to his Instagram page.
In case you missed it, back in June of this year the 21-year-old artist was shot multiple times outside of a Chipotle restaurant in Edgewater, New Jersey.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Mohamed Konate, 27, attempted to rob Tjay and his two friends while they were sitting in a vehicle near the Promenade shopping center. Konate was arrested a month after the shooting took place as Tjay was reportedly unconscious for days after undergoing emergency surgery.
As for Ice Spice, the artist is currently working on a six-track EP after her hit “Munch (Feelin’ U)” became a viral success. The 22-year-old recently dropped a follow-up single “Bikini Bottom” in October.
