DMX’s Lawyer Calls Robbery Story ‘Absurd’
DMX has done a lot of crazy things in the past, but allegations that he robbed a man at a Newark, N.J., gas station last weekend are “completely absurd,” according to his lawyer.

The 21-year-old alleged victim told police that he and X had a “brief conversation about rap music” before a member of the rapper’s entourage demanded money and flashed a gun. The man went on to take $3,200 out of his pocket, at which point X “snatched” the bills and ran away.
Murray Richman, X’s lawyer, scoffed at the story, telling E! News, “Anyone who believes it makes no sense at all.”
Richman explained that the 44-year-old recording artist had just wrapped up a “very successful” show leading up to the run-in. X “stopped off for gas,” where he was approached by a group of fans.
“Four young men approached him for a photo,” said Richman. “They took photos and they offered [DMX] drugs. He said no and told them to go...They had an argument and next thing you know, they are accusing him of robbery. Just nonsense."
Police are reportedly still investigating the robbery story.
