Is This Keri Hilson's Comeback Single?
Remember Keri Hilson? She was the R&B heartthrob who dominated the charts with “Turnin Me On,” “Knock You Down” and “Pretty Girl Rock.” Since 2010’s No Boys Allowed, fans of Ms. Keri have seen teases of new music (including one called "Dinero"), but not a proper announcement that she’s stepping back into the spotlight.
Last night, a song leaked on the Internet called “Keep It 100” that features Young Thug. Backed by her frequent collaborators Polow Da Don and Danja, the club-ready track finds Hilson in her zone, telling her ex to just be straight with her, whether he’s cheating or not. “I was cool by my lonesome until you came along / You convince me to be loyal, you’ll do what you want / If I did the same to you, you would tell me that I’m wrong / I ain’t gon’ lie, I would respect you if you knew to keep it 100 with me,” she sings on the hook. Thugga follows with his signature yelps and wild flow.
Is this enough for a comeback? Only time will tell. In the meantime, head over to 2DopeBoyz and listen to “Keep It 100.”
