Dez Bryant Tells Cowboys He Won’t Play Without New Deal
When the Dallas Cowboys didn't re-sign running back DeMarco Murray's contract and he wound up inking a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles instead, part of the thinking was that the Cowboys wanted to offer Dez Bryant a huge multi-year deal.
Well, five months later Bryant is still seeking that huge multi-year deal and that's precisely why the star wide receiver is giving the Cowboys an ultimatum.
ESPN is reporting that Bryant told Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones that he will skip training camp and sit out regular season games unless the franchise gives him a long-term deal before Wednesday's deadline to do so.

That means Bryant, who is represented by both CAA and members of Roc Nation Sports, clearly doesn't want to play under the franchise tag for $12.823 million for the 2015 season. Bryant wouldn't be fined for skipping training camp, but would lose $752,000 for each regular-season game he misses.
Bryant led the NFL with 16 touchdown catches in 2014, helping to lead Dallas to a 12-4 record.
