BET Awards 2023: 5 All-Time Classic Brandy Songs

  • Almost Doesn’t Count

    This r&b and pop ballad, “Almost Doesn’t Count,” was featured on Brandy’s second studio album, Never Say Never. It earned the singer her third Grammy nomination for “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.”

    Looking to evolve a more mature sound, Brandy collaborated with a new team of legendary songwriter Diane Warren and producer David Foster for her 1998 ballad “Have You Ever.” Not only had Brandy’s music matured, but so did her vocal abilities.

    Brandy kicked off the release of her debut self-titled album, Brandy, with several tracks, including an upbeat number titled “Baby.” The single peaked at no. 4 on Billboard Hot 100.
