Childish Gambino Releases New Album ‘Atavista’ and Announces World Tour
Childish Gambino has made his return to the music world with a surprise new album Atavista, released Monday (May 13).
Atavista is the completed version of 3.15.20, an album that he released in March 2020 and which has since been removed from DSPs.
Guest features on the album include Young Nudy, Summer Walker, along with 21 Savage, Ariana Grande, Ink, and Kadhja Bonet who appeared on the previous version of the project.
Announcing the release of the album, the “complete” version of his 2020 record, ‘3.15.20’, the ultra-talented rapper/actor/comedian shared the news on social media. The project is currently available on streaming services with revised tracks from the 2020 record along with a new song, “Little Foot Big Foot.”
“ATAVISTA is streaming now. This album is the finished version of "3.15.20", the album I put out 4 years ago. There's a special vinyl coming soon w/ visuals for each song,” he wrote. The all-new Childish Gambino album comes out in the summer,” his post read.
In addition to releasing new music, Gambino also announced that he will be heading on the road for a world tour with shows across North America, Australia, the UK, and Europe from 2024 into 2025. It will be his first tour since 2019.
“The New World Tour,” will begin on August 11th in Oklahoma City, with stops in Kansas City, Milwaukee, Detroit, Toronto, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Raleigh, Nashville, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Seattle, and many more. Gambino will then travel to the UK and Europe before final dates in Australia and New Zealand in 2025.
