Rihanna Releases ‘Lift Me Up’ Music Video For ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

It’s RiRi’s first single in six years.

The wait for new music from Rihanna is over as she’s released a new song for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever original soundtrack.

On Friday (October 28), the superstar singer dropped her first single in six years with “Lift Me Up,” which is an emotional tribute to the life and legacy of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, who died in August 2020 from colon cancer.

"Lift me up / Hold me down / Keep me close, safe and sound," Rihanna croons on the track, written by Tems, the  “Umbrella” singer, director Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Göransson.

"Drowning in an endless sea / Take some time and stay with me / Keep me in the strength of your arms. Keep me safe / Safe and sound."
