DMX's obsession with dogs includes sampling the very food made for his K-9 friends. X recently revealed to TMZ that he has eaten dog food, answering, "yes" when asked flat out. 

Being that he's sampled the product, he's understandably particular about his pets' diet. "I don't give my dogs dog treats," he said.

The Yonkers-born MC also knows the best brand of dog food for a human to survive on, if necessary. "You know what? Honestly speaking, the canned stuff smells the best…but, um, as far as vitamins and minerals and all that stuff like that…nutrients…Iams."

Rather than use the Iams brand he just endorsed, X is currently giving his dogs "stuff from a feed store."

"I forgot the name of it but it's good food," he added.

He also quipped about feeding one of his dogs "a person" to destroy evidence.

Jokes aside, X has a huge soft spot for dogs. He infamously inked a tattoo on his back, "One Love Boomer," a dedication to his deceased dog.
