Body Of Princeton University Student Has Been Found
A Princeton University student who has been missing since Oct. 14 has been found deceased.
According to CNN, Misrach Ewunetie, 20, was found on the Princeton facilities grounds, behind the tennis courts. The cause of death has now been determined but the Middlesex County Medical Examiner said in a statement that there were “no signs of injury and her death does not appear suspicious or criminal in nature.”
Princeton University said in a statement: “Our hearts go out to her family, her friends and the many others who knew and loved her. We are planning an opportunity for students to join together and remember Misrach.”
On Oct. 15, her family became concerned after Ewunetie missed a meeting regarding her citizenship. Ewunetie’s family is originally from Ethiopia and she was raised in Euclid, Ohio. Before the body was found, her oldest brother, Universe Ewunetie, said about campus authorities and the prosecutor’s office, “There’s no constant update or interaction with us. We’re really kept in the dark.” He said he was told the investigation will take time, but explained, “That’s one thing we don’t have, we don’t have time.”
Ewunetie was last seen around 3 a.m. on Oct. 14 near a residential building on the New Jersey campus, according to Princeton. The university conducted an extensive search, which included helicopters and drones. It’s unknown who or how her body was found.
Misrach Ewunetie was expected to graduate in 2024.
