The Game Cast and Debra Lee Ring NASDAQ Opening Bell
In honor of the 5th season of BET’s, The Game cast members and BET's chairman rang the NASDAQ Stock Market opening bell on Wednesday morning.
The members including Hosea Chanchez, Pooch Hall, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Brandy Norwood and Coby Bell joined Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BET Networks Debra Lee on stage to mark the beginning of the day’s stock exchange at 9:15a.m.
“This is a truly exciting time for BET Networks,” said Lee. “We’re all about giving our audience what they want and we know that fans everywhere love to watch the lives of Derwin, Melanie, Malik, Jason and Tasha Mack unfold every week.”
On December 1, Viacom, the parent company of BET, left the New York Stock Exchange and began listing its class A and class B common stocks on the NASDAQ.
Last year The Game drew 7.7 million viewers during its season premiere on the network. Season 5 of the network’s hit series premiered Tuesday night.
“Last year we made ratings history and I know based on the Twitter traffic last night I am looking forward to good news later today!” said Lee referring to the ratings for last night’s premiere.
