Fans Believe Beyoncé Pulled A Super Petty Move Against Nas On Twitter

Thanks to this screenshot.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s internet and streaming service-shattering collabo album, The Carters, ran neck and neck with another highly anticipated project from Def Jam’s camp: Nasir.

Queens emcee icon Nas graced the masses with the eponymous, seven-track album last Friday (June 15), serving as another installment of Kanye West’s (who executive produced the project) G.O.O.D. Music summertime uprising and kicking off an amazing start to the weekend. Unbeknownst to them, that was just the first of two self-titled projects to occupy fans for their off days, as Bey and Hov released their nine-track The Carters surprise album just one day later on Saturday (June 16).

Given Nas and Jay’s now-truced rap beef of early 2000s past, many fans side-eyed the release, accusing Jayonce of raining on Escobar’s album fanfare parade. And a screenshot captured by a fan and showing an alleged thumbs-up from the Queen Bey on a shady tweet regarding the album roll-outs is only gassing the fire beneath their suspicion.

  1. Fans supposedly discovered only one post in Beyoncé's Twitter likes, which was a hilarious meme referencing Nas' technical difficulties with his album's streaming release

  2. Another fan questioned the screenshot's authenticity after going to see whether the Queen Bey threw shade for herself only to see that the "like" was already gone from her official Twitter handle

  3. But it looks like fans have already come to a consensus on whether the shade was real or not
