Watch: Angela Simmons Tells the Truth About Her Fiancé’s Drug Dealing, Woman Beating Past

Finally, some answers.

Angela Simmons had a huge year, expanding her family with a new man and their newborn baby. But questions about her fiancé Sutton Tennyson, who was largely absent from her social media feed during her pregnancy, threatened to cast a shadow on her happiness.
Now, for the first time Simmons is speaking out about the rumors of Tennyson's drug dealing past, as well as his domestic violence charges, in an effort to quiet the chatter.

During an episode of Growing Up Hip Hop. Angela’s uncle, Russell Simmons, asks about some of the things he’s heard about Sutton’s past — particularly why he spent some time behind bars before getting together with Angela.
"Basically, he grew up in a rough neighborhood. He went to jail. Drug charges and stuff like that," Angela explains to Uncle Rush, adding that the charges stemmed from selling pot. As for the allegations that he beat a woman, she says, "There’s stuff floating around that he got in trouble for a domestic violence charge. But he did tell me what happened."
