Kanye West's 'Mama's Boyfriend' Hits The Web
Kanye West's oft-described "Mama's Boyfriend" from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy has finally seen the light of day.
The track, which DJ Premier produced and chatted about in numerous interviews, was originally slated to make the 2010 LP's tracklisting but did not. Now the cut's debuted online, via You Heard That New.
On "Mama's Boyfriend," which features a soul sample and strong drums, Kanye tells a story from the perspective of a child watching his mother date new suitors. As the men attempt to impress his mother and charm Kanye, resentment seems to just well up inside the young man.
"I never liked you n---as," he raps during the chorus.
"Walked in our lives, I was only 5/ Superman pajamas I was super duper fly," Kanye rhymes on the first verse. " … You know I scrutinized, like who this newer guy?/ I'm my mama boyfriend, I'm her little husband/ I was the man in the house when their wasn't./ You ain't trying to get to know me, homie kill the charm/ You ain't interested in me, you just trying to f---my mom."
Counting "Mama's Boyfriend," Mr. West boasts two leaks this evening including Big Sean's "Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay" from his upcoming Finally Famous debut on West's G.O.O.D. Music.
