No Plea from Doctor in Michael Jackson’s Death
Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s personal physician and the man who was on the scene when Jackson took his final breath, reportedly says that he will not accept any plea bargain from the Los Angeles County District Attorney (D.A.) in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case, according to TMZ.com.
The report goes on to say that Dr. Murray feels so strongly about his innocence, even a plea with no jail time would be out of the question. TMZ reports that Dr. Murray shouldn't hold his breath, because no plea bargain has been offered and sources say the D.A. will not offer one. As for Murray's defense, the centerpiece revolves around the fact that only two people were in the room around the time Jackson died, and Murray insists he did not administer the fatal dose of Propofol. The operating theory of Murray's lawyers is when the doctor left to go to the bathroom, a frustrated Jackson woke up and administered the fatal dose himself in a desperate attempt to get some sleep.
Today is the second anniversary of the legendary singers death. And the case continues to unfold.
