Chris Rock Just Dropped Some Major News About a Hip-Hop Icon

His Instagram has us excited for new music from Andre 3000.

On Thursday night, Chris Rock took to Instagram to share a photograph that has the hip hop world buzzing with excitement. He shared a star-studded selfie with fellow comedian Dave Chappelle, rocker Jack White, DJ D-Nice, Jarobi White, and rap icons Common and Andre 3000 and not so subtly hinted in the caption that 3 Stacks might be working on a new album.

The comedian wrote, "Me , Dave , D-nice , jack white and jarobi hard at work on the new Andre 3000 album." What we don't know is if this caption is just fun and games, or if he is letting us in on what will be the most anticipated album of the year:

This photo raises more questions than answers, but if Andre really is working on a new album, it will be his first work since the Grammy-winning 2003 classic The Love Below.

Chris better not be playing with us!

These photos create more questions than answers, but if Andre really is working on a new album it will be his first work since the Grammy-winning 2003 classic The Love Below.

We can only guess as to whether or not Chris Rock is letting us in on the exciting truth, or telling just another joke. Only time will tell.

This is the first big news Rock has been connected to since he hosted the Oscars in February. He was tasked with bringing the Black presence to the ceremony after #OscarsSoWhite pointed out the severe lack of diversity amongst the award's nominations.
