K. Michelle Confirms She's Leaving Love & Hip Hop Atlanta
After only two seasons, K. Michelle has had her fill of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. The feisty Tennessee native decided to walk away from the show to save her health.
Confirming the news, Michelle told ABC Radio that things in the LHHATL world just weren't right. "If I know something is unhealthy for me why keep doing it?"
Good question considering how tumultuous the last season had been.
Michelle has fought with every cast member at one point or another, but that doesn't mean she's tired of being followed around by cameras. The R&B songstress hasn't closed the door to reality TV. "I'm not saying that I'm not dealing with other ventures with VH1 and Mona [Scott Young, the show's creator].... You might see me in Love & Hip Hop New York. You never know."
Since this is her last season, expect Michelle to go out with a bang. Fans will see the 27-year-old battle against cast members Rasheeda and Mimi Faust; the latter had a bouquet of flowers thrown in her face during Michelle's concert in New York City. "You know I recently spoke with Mimi — I can't give the show away — but I did apologize to her because at no means is it ever appropriate to slap somebody," she explained.
For Michelle, the reality behind the reality TV set in at that moment. "Especially with my mom being there and that being my first sold-out show at B. B. King's and that's very monumental for an artist and for you to come to my event... I don't do that. But I will take the responsibility... I should've just walked away from Mimi instead of making her smell the flowers."
Truthfully, however, if she would've just "walked away," the storyline probably wouldn't make it to the airwaves.
Season two of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta airs Monday (April 22).
