LAS VEGAS — Zab Judah looked hardly “super” Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

After taking a beating for four rounds at the hands of Amir Khan, Judah was knocked out in the fifth round after he was hit with a punch that appeared to be a low blow at first glance.

Judah fell to his knees on the canvas while referee Vic Drakulich counted him out. The Brooklyn native protested, claiming he was hit with a low blow. A replay of the punch showed that Khan hit Judah on the beltline.

“It was a low blow,” Judah said. “I was trying to get myself together.”

Regardless if it was a low blow or not, Judah was well on his way to losing his light welterweight title. Khan’s speed and aggressiveness overpowered the 33-year-old in the ring.

I think my speed overwhelmed him, along with my power,” Khan said. “I thought I was hurting him and it was only a matter of time.”

Khan’s victory could be one of his last wins at light welterweight. Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer announced following the fight that Khan would likely fight the winner of the Robert Guerrero/Marcos Maidana match or Erik Morales in December before moving up to 147 pounds.

After getting a fight under his belt at welterweight across the pond in his hometown of Manchester, Schaefer said, “we’ll go and get one of the big boys at 147,” in reference to Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather Jr.
