Celebrities Who Have Dated NBA Players

Tyra, Teyana, Gabrielle and more.

Gone are the days where our favorite NBA stars were the only well-known members in their relationships. These days, the basketball wives and significant others of many players are just as famous as they are. So, in honor of the start of the 2019 NBA Finals, we had to take score of our fave ladies and the ballers they love (or loved!).

  • Gloria Govan

Gloria Govan and Matt Barnes were married from 2013 to 2016, however the headlines they've created regarding their relationship post-marriage have been the most notable. Since their divorce, they've been fighting over the custody of their kids with Barnes even taking out a restraining order against the Basketball Wives star.

  • Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade are really the perfect couple. Since their marriage in 2014, they've been the envy of everyone striving for a healthy romantic relationship.

  • Teyana Taylor

Teyana Taylor and Sacramento Kings shooting guard Iman Shumpert married in 2016 and are still one of the biggest #CoupleGoals couples in the NBA. They also share a baby girl.

  • Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian made Kris Humphries more famous than the NBA ever did. They were only married for 72 days during one of the biggest celebrity marriage blunders ever. Luckily, Kim was able to bounce back with Kanye West.

  • Khloe Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian has been with numerous ball players. She was married to Lamar Odom, whom she divorced and then reportedly began dating James Harden. Oh yeah, and then there was Tristan Thompson, which famously went awry just earler this year. Perhaps the NBA isn't the best place for Khloe to find love.

  • Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner just hasn't been able to find the right man. She's been with Justin Bieber and Anwar Hadid, but she's also been with a few NBAer, including Jordan Clarkson, Ben Simmons, and perhaps most notably Blake Griffin, whom she split with in May 2018.

  • Ciara

Before Ciara married the ideal man in Russell Wilson, she dated former New York Knicks' Amar'e Stoudemire and looked like quite the handsome couple when they were snapped vacationing together in 2011. Clearly, this was either a short-lived fling or smoke and mirrors.

  • La La Anthony

La La and Carmelo Anthony reportedly separated last year but their relationship is strong post split. The two have reunited on numerous occasions and still show love for one another.

  • Vanessa Williams

Though the former Miss America divorced Lakers star Rick Fox in 2004, the former couple demonstrated extremely good sportsmanship thereafter. Fox even guest-starred as Williams's illicit boy toy while she starred in Ugly Betty. Guess some habits die hard?

  • Monica

After meeting NBA player Shannon Brown on the set of one of her music videos, the singer wasted no time telling the world "the boy is mine." The couple got engaged in October 2010 and secretly married just one month later. They welcomed their daughter, Laiyah, in September 2013.

Unfortunately, the two filed for divorce just two months ago.

  • Keyshia Cole

First came baby, then came marriage for the R&B beauty and her former Cleveland Cavalier hubby, Daniel "Boobie" Gibson. The couple tied the knot in 2011, one year after Keyshia gave birth to their son, Daniel Jr., and then renewed their vows in a lavish Hawaii ceremony just four months later. Today, Keyshia and Daniel are no longer a couple.

  • Amber Rose

Amber Rose seems to be done dating celebrity men but in years past the model and businesswoman shook things up when she also briefly dated Amar'e Stoudemire in 2010 after her split from Kanye West. It didn't last very long — Rose was on the arm of Wiz Khalifa just a month later. While the couple is no longer married, they did have a baby boy together.

  • Eva Longoria

Not every love story has a happy ending. The Desperate Housewives star's marriage to San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker crumbled in 2010 after Parker admitted to infidelity, and Longoria claimed to be done with ballers for good. Worst news for the NBA since Michael Jordan announced his retirement.

  • Rihanna

J.R. Smith and Rihanna reportedly “hooked up” while Smith was still playing for the New York Knicks back in 2012. They were seen showing “some serious PDA” at nightclubs in New York and Miami, but the relationship between the two soured at some point during the year.

  • Keri Hilson

Keri Hilson dated the Toronto Raptors' Surge Ibaka from 2012 to 2016. She then went on to date NFL wide received Ricardo Lockette, whom she split with in 2017.

Before releasing her hit studio album, The New Classic, in 2014, rapper Iggy Azalea began dating Los Angeles Lakers player Nick Young. A year into their relationship, the two moved in together and announced their engagement. A little more than a year after that, they called it quits after the "Fancy" rapper returned home to security footage of Young entertaining another woman in their home. The other woman turned out to be his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his son and now most recent daughter.
