LOL: Diddy Is Out Here Crip Walking For His "Vote Or Die" Campaign

He'll do anything for the cause.

Bad Boy mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs launched Citizen Change in 2004 in hopes of enticing young minorities to vote. During the 2012 presidential election, he openly supported Barack Obama and considered resurrecting his “Vote or Die” catchphrase during the 2016 election. Knowing the power of African-American and Latino voters, he was upset about politicians “not giving enough attention to [minority] voters while counting their votes without dealing with their issues.”

During this year’s midterm elections, Diddy hosted a rally for the Democratic nominee for governor of Florida, Andrew Gillum. Gillum also received the support of Rihanna as well as others. The Press Play emcee was joined by Tiffany Haddish, Monica, DJ Khaled and Will Packer to stress the importance of voting after the travesty that took place in 2016.

  • "We have an opportunity to have history... it's in our hands," he stated during the rally on Monday night (Nov. 5)

The "Bring It Home Midnight Rally" took place at Florida A&M University, Gillum's alma mater. Similar to the historic 2008 election, if Gillum wins the race, he'd be Florida's first Black governor and the country's fifth. In classic Diddy fashion, he wore a black T-shirt with "Vote or Die" across the front. As Lil Duval's summertime smash, "Smile (Living My Best Life)," echoed throughout the auditorium, the Girls Trip actress broke out into a Harlem shake that would make any native New Yorker proud, while Puff eased his way into a smooth West Coast crip-walk.
