Prayers Up: Singer Tweet Reportedly Hospitalized For Blood Clots

Tweet's loved ones have taken to social media to request prayers.

R&B singer Tweet kept the ladies lifted on sensual self-love with her sultry “Oops (Oh My)” single in 2002, a track that would catapult her name to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the help of Timbaland and Missy Elliott.

Now, it’s time to keep her lifted in prayer after loved ones of the songstress have reported that she was hospitalized for blood clots in her lungs and arms.

According to an Instagram post from her daughter, Shenice Johnson (formerly known as Tashawna), Tweet was sent to the facility after battling with the clots, though the date of her admittance is not revealed.

“Asking for your prayers,” Johnson wrote in the caption of the post with her mother’s picture. “My mom has been admitted into the hospital battling blood clots in her lungs !!! We are believing God for total recovery! She's my world and I know she's in God's hands !!”

Thereafter, Pastor Jamal Bryant, who the Grammy-nominated artist is currently dating, also posted to social media asking for the public to keep her in prayers as she goes through the health tackle. Bryant revealed that doctors have hit a setback in treating the New York-bred songstress as well.

“ALERT!!!,” he captioned her photo on his Instagram. “I need your prayers for @tweet_. She's been admitted in hospital for blood clots in both lungs & right arm! Doctors can't trace it but God is a healer! Prayer still works...”

There is little information on the status of any surgeries or procedures she may need, nor any preexisting conditions that may have led to the blood clots. As fans await a green light on her recovery, we’re wishing Tweet a swift recovery and healing during this difficult time.
