Eddie Murphy Makes Forbes List of Over-Paid Actors
Although his movies have bombed, the comedian still banks.
As part of a list that includes Forbes’s Celebrity 100 list, Eddie Murphy, 50, holds their number one spot as the most over-paid actor in Hollywood.
The website says they figured the numbers out by looking at the investment return the studio got for every dollar invested in the star.
Yahoo! Omg figures in the last few movies, “For every $1 Murphy was paid in salary we found that his recent films have returned an average $2.70.” This is because his last couple of movies have faired poorly in the box office.
Murphy, whose Dr. Dolittle and The Nutty Professor films have grossed more than $250 million each, will return in the new big budget action comedy Tower Heist, in theaters today.
