Chlöe Announces ‘Trouble In Paradise’ Release Date
Surprise! Chlöe Bailey just announced the release date of her highly anticipated sophomore album.
On Monday (Aug. 5), the “Have Mercy” singer took to her Instagram account to announce that Trouble In Paradise will be released this Friday (Aug. 9). “A storm is coming,” she wrote alongside the album’s cover art. The image features Bailey lying in water in a strapless neon dress.
So far, Chlöe has released several singles, including “FYS” and “Boy Bye.” During a recent interview with Nylon, she revealed that the new album was largely recorded in Saint Lucia, and it is “a coming-of-age celebration of being a woman and having fun, not taking life too seriously.”
Guest appearances include Anderson .Paak, Jeremih, and the long-awaited reunion with her sister Halle on the track “Want Me,” their first collaboration in three years.
“It’s weird because it’s almost like I wrote the song for two without knowing it,” she said of the song. “I was talking to one of my engineers, and she was telling me about this guy and how into her he is, and I was sharing a similar story. I was like, ‘But am I that much into him? Why is it that the ones we want don’t want us like this?’ I immediately wrote it down in my notes, and the song wrote itself in, like, five minutes.”
Recently, Chlöe appeared on the remix of Tinashe’s viral hit “Nasty.”
