Cassidy Calls Meek Mill's Drake Diss 'Trash'
Cassidy wasn’t so impressed with Meek Mill’s “Wanna Know” diss. He called it “trash,” and thinks the MMG rapper could’ve “done better.”
Not that anyone expected a shinning review, since he and Meek were beefing, but the Philly native maintained that the Drake drama has nothing to do with him, and his opinion isn’t biased. He’s just “disappointed” as a fan of hip hop. “At the end of the day I’m doing music, I’m doing wild other s**t, so we not caught up into dissing each other no more,” he told Vlad TV before trashing Meek’s lyrical clap back.
“I ain’t even think it was solid to be for real,” Cassidy said of the diss record. “I don’t know if it’s because he’s busy…I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t why the dudes around him were like ‘Yeah, that’s the one!’”

As you can see, he has more questions than answers for Meek. However, Cassidy does feel that his Philly foe was forced to respond for blasting Drizzy first. “Even though people would’ve been mad if he didn’t drop anything, he still would’ve been in a better position, compared to dropping [‘Wanna Know’], and it being so weak.”
Cassidy has also been listening to radio reactions to “Wanna Know,” and he noticed that people have been “calling up saying how weak” Meek’s performance was. “That’s how the people is, especially in this new social media age,” he continued. “People will flip on you real fast, that’s why you gotta always be prepared and ready to go. It’s some people that lost in hip hop history that were able to bounce back from it, but that’s because they didn’t lose from that wide of a margin."
On the subject of ghostwriters, Cassidy admitted to writing for other rappers he “looked up to,” despite revealing names. He’s not “shocked” at the idea of Drake, or anyone else in hip hop, getting help with the pen. “The majority of the music that comes out, it is a team of people that’s working on it to make it happen.”
