Tyler James Williams Wins 'Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical-Comedy or Drama Television Series' Golden Globe for 'Abbott Elementary'

This was the actor's first Golden Globe win.

Tyler James Williams was all smiles when he accepted his Golden Globe Award for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical-Comedy or Drama Television Series," on Tuesday night in Los Angeles. Williams won the award for his portrayal of Gregory Eddie on Abbott Elementary.

Williams, who got his big break on Everybody Hate Chris, has practically grown up on the small screen. During his acceptance speech, he expressed gratitude to his fellow Abbott Elementary cast.

"I want to start off by thanking first my cast and crew. It's an honor to work with you every day. Quinta Brunson, yeah," he said. Williams also expressed how his character's story is just as important as other stories being told.

He went on to thank his business team and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
