Report: Chris Paul Demanding Trade From New Orleans to New York Knicks
It seems almost certain that All-Star point Chris Paul will not put on a New Orleans Hornets uniform this season.
The question is what uniform will Paul wear?
Paul has reportedly requested a trade to the New York Knicks. He has long wanted to form a formidable threesome with buddies Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire to rival Miami’s Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
The Hornets are reportedly interested a deal with the Boston Celtics that would land them Rajon Rondo in exchange for Paul, but that isn't expected to happen because Paul has said he won’t sign a contract extension, which the Celtics would require to make the move.
The Hornets, who are in major rebuilding mode, seem to have little choice. They can either move Paul now or risk losing him at the end of the season when he can opt out of the final year of his contract.
