Get To Know Amandla Crichlow, Daniel Kaluuya’s Rumored Girlfriend
Since the release of Judas and the Black Messiah on HBO Max, Daniel Kaluuya is once again receiving Oscar buzz over his portrayal of Fred Hampton, the slain deputy chairman of the Black Panther Party.
Kaluuya, 31, who began his career as a co-writer and star on Skins and later provided standout performances in Get Out and Black Panther, has made a name for himself over the past few years.
The glare of the spotlight is also causing fans to dig into his love life. According to Us Weekly, Kaluuya’s rumored girlfriend, British-born actress Amandla Crichlow, has been by his side during his rise to stardom. But they have always kept their relationship private.
Crichlow currently doesn’t have an Instagram account, but has appeared with Kaluuya during multiple red carpet events, including the 2018 Golden Globes, the SAG Awards, the NAACP Awards, the premiere of Black Panther and the 90th Academy Awards, where Kaluuya was nominated for Best Actor for Get Out.
While the two haven’t yet been confirmed as a couple, here’s what we do know about Crichlow.
Amandla Crichlow Comes From A Notable Family
Her father is famed British Black activist Frank Crichlow. The Guardian described him as a "stalwart symbol of Black urban resistance in the face of police persecution." Her mother is Lucy Addington and her sister is actress Lenora Crichlow, who made appearances on Being Human and Black Mirror.
She Has Acted Herself
According to Crichlow’s IMDb page, she’s described as an actress and production coordinator. Crichlow has had parts in television, including Alisha Daniels in The Bill from 2007-2008 and Gloria in 2006’s Prime Suspect 7: The Final Act. Most recently, she appeared in the 2012 short Anonymous as Holly.
She’s Also Produced Film
Crichlow works as a producer for Kaluuya's production company, called 59%, according to her LinkedIn page. She also worked for creative production companies like Framestore and Tiger Aspect in the past. Next up, Crichlow is slated to develop a live-action movie of Barney & Friends through 59% and Mattel.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kaluuya is producing the project along with Rowan Riley and Crichlow, as well as David Carrico, Adam Paulsen and Bobby Hoppey for Valparaiso. Kevin McKeon will oversee for Mattel.
"Barney was a ubiquitous figure in many of our childhoods, then he disappeared into the shadows, left misunderstood,” said Kaluuya. “We're excited to explore this compelling modern-day hero and see if his message of 'I love you, you love me' can stand the test of time."
