Report: A Beyoncé And Adele Collaboration Is Not On The Way, According To OneRepublic Representative
OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder might have just earned himself the everlasting scorn of the BeyHive for the foreseeable future. The singer-songwriter/producer was speaking to iHeartradio’s New York station Z100 backstage at the 2019 Global Citizen Festival where he revealed some major news that had Twitter in a frenzy this past weekend.
“We have one song featuring Beyoncé and Adele with a Chris Martin piano solo on the bridge,” Tedder revealed, to which the entertainment journalist responded with a “wow.”
His proclamation sent reverberations throughout the internet that left fans in a state of shock at the mere thought of a powerhouse duet from Adele and Bey. It didn't take long for his words to spread throughout the Twitterverse once the BeyHive raised the alarm.

The possibility of those three on a single track had some doubtful of the rumored duet as it sounded too good to be true. But many were willing to believe, given the sheer power a Bey and Adele record could unleash on the charts.
Let's also not forget the moment when Adele, a noted member of the BeyHive, humbly dedicated part of her 2017 Grammys speech to salute Queen Bey.
Tedder’s comment also seemingly checked out given that he’s produced and co-written a number of hits for both artists, such as Bey’s “Halo” and “XO” in addition to Adele’s “Remedy,” and “Rumor Has It.”
“WE GETTING AN ADELE AND BEYONCÉ COLLAB!!!!!!,” one fan excitedly gushed.

In an anticlimactic turn of events, fans' hopes were dashed 48 hours later, Monday (Sept. 30). Disappointingly, there is not a track between Adele and Beyoncé on the way. Not right now, at least. A representative of Tedder’s seemingly shot down the rumors, telling CNN that the comment was made in jest.
It’s not clear if he means the collaboration was truly never a thing or if Tedder is backtracking given Bey’s and Adele's notoriously private nature towards their respective crafts. But for now, fans will have to take his rep’s words as the final say on the matter.
