Man Alleges to Be Nia Long's Son After Being Arrested on Assault

The man was also booked for false impersonation.

Over the weekend, a man was arrested for assaulting a stranger with a tent pole. While in custody, he falsely claimed to be Massai Dorsey II, Nia Long's son, later proving to be a lie.

According to officers who spoke with TMZ, it’s unclear why Tamir Rasoon Morris claimed to be Long’s 23-year-old. They noted that Morris had clearly done his research on the star’s family—giving authorities Massai’s correct birth day and month.

However, Morris erred by two years in stating the birth year. Authorities suspect he gathered information from social media but stressed that Long's real son was not involved whatsoever. His true identity was ultimately revealed when he was booked and fingerprinted.

Currently, Morris is in jail on a $30,000 bail, facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon and false impersonation.
