Young Dolph Shooting: Suspect Identified And Wanted For Murder
Law enforcement sources say a suspect has been identified in Young Dolph’s shooting, and he’s wanted for murder.
TMZ reports U.S. Marshalls, the Memphis Police Department, and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation say one of the suspects is a 23-year-old man named Justin Johnson.
According to his Instagram account, Johnson goes by the handle StraightDrop and is a local rapper. His page contains many pictures of himself with expensive clothes, money, and expensive cars.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Johnson is on the TBI Most Wanted list, has ties to organized crime, and should be considered armed and dangerous. A $15,000 reward is being offered for info leading to his capture.
Young Dolph was shot and killed in Memphis on Nov. 17. He was 36. WREG reports that Memphis Police said one male victim was located and pronounced dead at the scene and confirmed Dolph was the victim.
Officers and witnesses gathered in front of a broken window at Makeda’s Butter Cookies, a bakery in a local Memphis strip mall. A man who identified himself as the business’ owner said a young man had been shot while buying cookies. TMZ reports that the rapper’s vehicle was found outside Makeda’s.
Memphis police released photos of the two suspects wanted in Dolph’s shooting death.
The pair of suspects are seen getting out of a white, two-door Mercedes Benz armed with guns and wearing sweatshirts, as they approach the Memphis rapper. Investigators say the two suspects shot him several times before fleeing.
Dolph was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is currently ongoing.
