Lil Kim Filed a Domestic Violence Lawsuit Against Mr. Papers

Papers claims it is a ploy to further her chances of getting custody of Royal Reign.

Lil Kim and her former boyfriend Mr. Papers are in a heated custody battle for their daughter Royal Reign. Now it looks like it took a turn for the worse.

Royal Reign turned one on June 9, but she only celebrated the birthday with Lil Kim. That’s because Kim has been trying to distance herself away from Papers, who allegedly cheated on her when Royal Reign was two months old. However, Papers has been trying really hard to see his daughter, even asking family court to get involved so he can get legal visitation rights.

According to Bossip, Papers filed for visitation in June, asking for one day a week to spend time with his daughter. He also agreed to have a court-approved supervisor. Despite reports, Papers isn’t trying to win a custody battle. He just wants to have an opportunity to see his baby girl.

Kim didn’t show up to the July 9 hearing. Instead, she filed a separate lawsuit claiming Papers was allegedly abusive in their relationship. He tells his publicist, Tasha Hilton, that it’s all a ploy to further prevent him from spending time with Royal. He states things never got physical between them.

“He doesn’t want his daughter to grow up and think her father didn’t care about her,” Hilton said about their ongoing battle. “The one thing that does matter to him is having his daughter in his life.”
