Michael Jackson Doctor Files Appeal

Conrad Murray disputes involuntary manslaughter charge.

As expected, Michael Jackson's former doctor Conrad Murray filed an appeal to challenge his recent involuntary manslaughter conviction.

Per TMZ, Murray filed the petition in pro per, meaning he's forgoing legal representation and representing himself. He allegedly wrote "Men's Central Jail" and his booking number in the space on the appeal document where a lawyer would usually write their firm's name and contact info.

TMZ also reports that although Murray filed his appeal without an attorney, he's still discussing the case with Nareg Gourjian, one of the lawyers who repped him during his heavliy covered trial.

"This case presents a gold mine of issues for any appellate lawyer," Gourjian told TMZ. "Dr. Murray is confident that the Court of Appeal will vindicate him."
