DJ Unk's Widow Sets the Record Straight on His Cause of Death

The "Walk It Out" hitmaker died on January 24.

The music world continues to mourn the loss of DJ Unk, the Atlanta rapper behind iconic dance anthems like “Walk It Out” and “2 Step,” as his cause of death has now been revealed.

In a statement to TMZ, who first reported the news, the 43-year-old artist passed away in his sleep on January 24 after suffering a heart attack, his wife, Sherkita Long-Platt, confirmed.

The widow also addressed the rumors surrounding her husband’s death, firmly denying speculation of drug involvement. “He didn’t do drugs,” she told the outlet.
