Chris Brown Admits He Struggles With Imposter Syndrome

The singer says sometimes, “I still pinch myself.”

Chris Brown is getting candid about his battles with imposter syndrome.

The 34-year-old is gearing up for the release of his 11th studio album, cleverly titled “11:11,” and recently took to his Instagram Story to promote the upcoming project.

“11th album,” he wrote. “I still pinch myself and have frequent Spatz of imposter syndrome. I’m extremely thankful and appreciative of how far I’ve come and the people who got me here. I continue to strive higher. MUSIC IS A CHOICE AND I THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING ME.”

According to the National Institutes of Health, imposter syndrome is a “behavioral health phenomenon described as self-doubt of intellect, skills, or accomplishments among high-achieving individuals.”

The “Sensational” singer appears to be also looking to relocate. In an Instagram Story post captured by Hip Hop DX, Brown wrote, “LA it’ been FUN. Cali will always be my second home but I think it’s time for me [to] try something different.”

His Los Angeles residence has made headlines over the years, notably in 2015 when a woman broke into the entertainer's home while he was away. She stayed there for several days, cooking meals and writing "I love you" on the walls.

Brown’s latest project, “11:11,” hits DSPs on November 11.
