ComicView's Class of 2024
BET's ComicView has always been known for breaking new talent while showcasing established figures in the standup comedy world. The BET+ revival is no different. Let's take a look at just a few of the comedians who appeared on the Vegas stage.
DC Youngfly
It's not up for debate that the Vine era brought us a slew of fresh comedic talent. Atlanta's DC Youngfly parlayed his internet popularity into appearances on the improv comedy show Wild 'n Out and has been steadily working ever since. He recently appeared alongside Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross in Candy Cane Lane as well as
BMF and the new House Party reboot. He is also the host of VH1's Celebrity Squares.
Tacarra Williams
This NY native is a mom and a grandma who utilizes a family-oriented yet edgy and realistic approach to comedy. Williams promises to use her life's problems as fodder so you can realize your problems aren't bad. She recently had a guest role on the Short-lived Southside.
Tommy Davidson
Booty Call. Woo. Strictly Business. In Living Color. Need we say more?
Tommy Davidson is a comedy legend with 40 (!) years in the game and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
Bresha Webb
For this Baltimore City native, standup was a hobby and a way to keep herself busy between jobs. Bentley Kyle Evans and Martin Lawrence encouraged her to pursue comedy on a grander scale. She has amassed an extensive resume since 2007, appearing in films like Ride Along 2 and Acrimony and in main roles in Love That Girl and Run the World.
Tip Harris
Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. may not be a household name, but his appearance on the ComicView stage could cement him into the public consciousness. We kid! You already know who T.I. is. He's a hustler, and for the man who has everything (platinum rap albums, an equally famous spouse and a supporting role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) standup could either be a flight of fancy or the natural evolution of his career. His style of comedy may be an acquired taste, but he's in the company of legends (Mike Epps, Kevin Hart), so we think he'll do just fine this go-round.
