If you’re hoping that Cardi B and Offset will work things out, you could be waiting a long time because the “Bongos” rapper is not ready to reconcile with her ex, according to PEOPLE.

On Christmas (Dec. 25), Cardi B and Offset reportedly spent Christmas together along with their children and it looked like the former couple may be working things out in their tumultuous relationship.

Sparking more rumors about their reconciliation, an X (formerly Twitter) user @TheePopFeed tweeted on Wednesday (December 27, “Cardi B has officially took Offset back after 12 days,” which went viral.

Another user responded with a clip of Kandi Burruss, star of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” telling co-star Porsha Williams, “You just made that up.”

After Cardi “liked” the video, everyone knew the original tweet was incorrect and she is continuing to live her best life as a newly single woman.

In early December, Cardi shared on an Instagram Livestream that she and Offset had split up and had been dropping hints on social media that they were no longer a couple.

“I don't know if you guys have been getting clues from me, from my Lives, or from my Stories, when I put on some certain music, or find my unfollowings," Cardi shared. 

After their split, Cardi admitted that she didn’t know the best way to share the news with the public.

"I've been single for a minute now, but I don't know how to tell the world," Cardi said. "But I feel like today has been a sign. The last time I got on Live, I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn't know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign."

"I want to start 2024 fresh and open. I'm curious for a new life, for a new beginning," she continued.

Fans quickly noticed that the former couple had stopped following each other on social media and Cardi alluded to their break up in an Instagram story.

"You know when you just outgrow relationships," she wrote. "I'm tired of protecting people's feelings...I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!"

This isn’t the first time Cardi and Offset have gone through a public breakup. In 2018, they went their separate ways after Offset’s alleged infidelity, as reported by E! News.

A month after calling it quits, Cardi B confirmed they were working on reconciling.

Married in 2017, the rappers share two children: daughter Kulture, 5, and son Wave, 2. Offset also has three more children from previous relationships.
