The Soul Train Awards 2020 Soul Cypher Was A Jam Session
With the stage designed to look like a nightclub scene, four of R&B’s top talents held a jam session at the 2020 Soul Train Awards on Sunday (Nov. 29). This year’s eagerly anticipated Soul Cypher featured PJ Morton, Chanté Moore, Shanice and Stokely.

Shanice led things, kicking some Erykah Badu lyrics before passing the mic to PJ Morton who was playing the keyboards before adding his smooth, soulful sound to the mix. Chanté Moore followed with her sophisticated delivery, and Stokely stepped away from the drums to take the foursome’s performance to another level.
The Soul Cypher has become a staple of the Soul Train Awards. The first performance took place in 2015, DJ’d by Erykah Badu. A year later, Tyrese, Ne-Yo, Angie Stone, and Gladys Knight performed.
