Tyra Banks covers the latest issue of fashion mag I Love You No. 7 with a retro look worth recreating at home. Shot by Marcus Gaab, the supermodel rocks this '60s mod glam style with hair by famed stylist Oscar James and makeup by Ann-Kathrin Obermeyer.
Straight-haired pompadours are easier to do than you think. Start with a head full of medium-sized curls and spritz with a light holding spray.
Finger-comb curls up near the nape of your neck and loosely pin. Use a fine-tooth comb to gently comb up your edges on both sides and use your fingers to comb curls up and inward for the pompadour shape. You hair should look like a bed head version of a French roll. Use open hair pins and closed bobby pins to secure hair.
Opt for as much volume as you want in the front by teasing or fluffing, but kept it a little messy. Use more pins to secure hair back toward the roll. Finish with more hairspray. Voila!
