Rihanna to Scale Back Her Sexy Image
In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Rihanna proclaimed that she’s toning down her racy look to allow fans to focus on the music. Perhaps the Barbadian beauty doesn’t comprehend that she’s going to garner mucho attention no matter what she wears. The style chameleon has released more promo shots from her forthcoming album Talk That Talk, and we can confirm that a fully clothed Rihanna makes just as a big of a splash as a scantily clad one.
Rih’s new look — a funky mix of soft, feminine touches with retro boyish flare — is her most fun yet. 2009’s Rated R raised the edgy singer to fashion royalty with her hard, metal-infused attire, jet black pixie cut and stiletto heels. And then came 2010’s LOUD. Blooming into her womanhood, the star leaped into flower prints, wild child red hair and flowy garments fit for a princess.
The singer has found a happy medium with her current look. Her duds look like thrifted gems you’d only find tucked away in a secondhand shop. It’s the juxtaposition of toughness and fragility that makes Rihanna’s evolving look so interesting, all the time.
