Tracy Morgan Doubles Backs Claims He Gained 40 Pounds on Ozempic
Tracy Morgan is clarifying comments he made about experiencing adverse effects while on a popular drug to lose weight.
Sometimes comedians shouldn't be taken so seriously when they speak because they just might be joking. That's exactly what happened when the "SNL" alum said he gained weight while on Ozempic, as reported by Page Six. Now Morgan says he was only kidding.
On Wednesday (March 27), he told E! News, “That was just a joke."
“Ozempic did great by me and I was glad to use it.”
“Now I only eat half a bag of Doritos,” he quipped.
Last week, the "30 Rock" alum claimed he gained 40 pounds while on the Type 2 diabetes drug.
“I out-ate Ozempic. I’ve gained 40 pounds. I’m like Magic Johnson. I gained 40 pounds," he told Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show."
In 2023, Morgan revealed he had been using the medication along with exercise to lose weight.
