The-Dream's Ex Releases Photos from Alleged Assault

Lydia Nam claims the Grammy Award-winner threatened her life, allows pics of her pregnant and scratched up to post online.

Lydia Nam has provided photographic proof that The-Dream allegedly assaulted her while she was pregnant last year.

TMZ published the images, showing bruises on Nam's neck, legs, hands and wrists. According to a criminal complaint, The-Dream, née Terius Nash, kicked and punched Nam in the head, dragged her by the hair, chocked her with a necklace, pinned her up against the wall and threatened her life.

Nam didn't report the April 2013 incident until seven months later, out of fear of retaliation from Dream, she asserts. Another altercation reportedly took place in June of the same year.

Dream, 36, was arrested in New York Wednesday morning (April 7). He turned himself in and was arraigned on two felony counts of assault and strangulation, as well as three misdemeanor charges, including child endangerment.

The singer/songwriter/producer posted $20,000 bail and was barred from having contact with Nam.

Upon leaving the courthouse, Dream made a few statements about the allegations. "It'll come out," he said in response to reporter questions, as he walked to a waiting vehicle. "I'm pretty good," he added. "It's worse things in the world going on."

When asked directly if he hit Nam, the father of five replied, "Definitely not."
