Pharrell Williams has created the world's first 24-hour music video. Williams released the visual for "Happy," off the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, at midnight Thursday (Nov. 21), running it for a full 24 hours on the website 24hoursofhappy.com.

Shot at night in various locations around Los Angeles, the video opens with Skateboard P — rocking his signature tailored look in a green sweater and wide-brim black hat — spreading the track's jovial message by dancing his way through a gas station parking lot and into a convenience store. 

Accompanying clips include a cast of everyday people at different spots around the city, and celebrity cameos from the likes of Tyler, the Creator, Steve Carell, Jamie Foxx, Jimmy Kimmel and Magic Johnson.

Although it officially clocks in at 4:00:14, the video ran online roughly 360 times over a 24 hour time period. Additionally, viewers were allowed to link the clips with their specific time zones to start, skip forward or rewind the stream at various times throughout the day.

The video will also be featured on the Despicable Me 2 DVD release due out next month.
