The troubled rapper goes home after serving seven months in jail.
After serving seven months in an Arizona jail, rapper DMX was released today (July 19). According to allhiphop.com, the Yonkers native was greeted by a small group of family and friends before heading to a visit with his probation officer.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was locked up again back in December of 2010 for probation violation when he refused to take a drug test. X, who has struggled with drugs throughout his career, was subsequently sentenced to a year in prison.
"I'm going to go see my daughter while the sun is up then I'm going to be in the studio, man," he said.
X's reps confirmed reports that he was in "serious negotiations" with Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group.
