Migos Reportedly Settles For $30,000 In Fyre Festival Lawsuit
Celebrities are continuing to experience the fall-out of the notoriously disastrous Fyre Festival of 2017.
As you’ll recall, the luxurious extravaganza was supposed to take place in the Bahamas before it fell apart and was later exposed as a fraudulent enterprise. The epic collapse of the festival was encapsulated in FYRE FRAUD on Hulu and FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened on Netflix. The festival’s founder, Billy McFarland, has since been sentenced to a six-year bid in prison for scamming $27.4 million out of investors, while Ja Rule narrowly came out of the ordeal unscathed.
However, the bankruptcy trustee has come after celebrities that were paid to perform or promote the event. Atlanta’s trap trio Migos happened to be one of them, but thankfully, they’ll be able to put the ordeal behind them for good.
According to a new report from The Blast, the Migos have agreed to pay $30,000 as part of Fyre Fest-related settlement. As you may recall, Migos was billed to be a part of the lineup alongside blink-182, Pusha T, Skepta and Rae Sremmurd among others. The three were reportedly paid $100,000 to perform, which never happened for obvious reasons.
The good news is that all claims will be dismissed against them once they pay up the $30,000. All they need is for a judge to off on the deal.
