One of the best things about the Obama presidency has been the opportunity to see his daughters Malia and Sasha Obama grow up and into beautiful, confident and often times hilarious young women. The First Daughters dazzled the world at their first official state dinner, for Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, and the event gave one of the girls a chance to meet her hero, actor Ryan Reynolds.

Thank God the White House photographer was around the capture the moment, because it was as charming an example of sisterly bonding as we've ever seen:

We see a starstruck Sasha talking to People's 2010 Sexiest Man of the Year, as her older sister stands in the background giving her two thumbs up for being brave enough to approach the actor, most likely after a pep talk from big sis.

It's a special moment to see that these two young women, who have grown up in the world's eye, and have met many of the most powerful men and women on the planet, can still get a bit flustered when facing a celebrity crush. 

President Obama recently announced that the First Family will stay put in D.C. even after Obama leaves office until 14-year-old Sasha graduates high school:
