B.o.B. Drops New Mixtape
B.o.B. turned his buzz up yet another decibel by dropping a new mixtape, E.P.I.C. (Every Play Is Crucial), yesterday (Nov. 28).
The project serves as a preview to his highly anticipated sophomore album, Strange Clouds. "It's all about the fusion between the outer limits and the inner limits, from the sky to the ground," the Atlanta MC said of the album, via MTV. "It's everything in between, above and below — so Strange Clouds, for me, it's my 'Twilight Zone.'"
E.P.I.C. is highlighted by the album's dubstep-influenced lead single, also titled "Strange Clouds," featuring Lil Wayne. However, the 15-track mixtape also includes power-packed appearances from other notable, and sometimes unexpected, rappers. "Things Get Worse" features none other than Eminem, while on "Boom Bap," B.o.B. goes in with his hometown buddy T.I. and fellow rapper-singer eccentric Mos Def. He collabs with Meek Mill and Playboy Tre on the title track, and links with 2 Chainz on "Perfect Symmetry." E.P.I.C. also features production from Ryan Tedder, Jim Jonsin and Dr. Luke.
