Kiyan Anthony Honors Mom La La Anthony with New Ink
Basketball player Kiyan Anthony recently celebrated his mom, actress La La Anthony, with an impressive portrait tattoo.
The 17-year-old basketball player proudly unveiled the new ink via his Instagram Stories on Tuesday (July 30). Crafted by tattoo artist Steve Wiebe, the portrait on his forearm is accompanied by a heartfelt message: “Dear Mom, you continuously put me before yourself. You are my why. I thank God for you every day.”
Kiyan’s journey into tattoos began at 16 with his first ink, which reads “Creator of my own Reality.”
Although La La had her own first tattoo at the same age, she was initially reluctant to let Kiyan follow suit. In a comical 2022 video, a 14-year-old Kiyan could be seen passionately making his case for the ink he desired at 16.
Last year, La La celebrated Kiyan's milestone by sharing a snapshot of his new tattoo on her Instagram story, captioning it, “I finally let him get a tattoo for his 16th birthday.”
La La and her son Kiyan, whom she shares with former NBA player Carmelo Anthony, have a strong bond that they frequently showcase on social media through photos and videos. The mother-son duo is currently in Japan, sharing snapshots of their adventures with their followers.
