Jay-Z Bullies Tenants In His Philadelphia Building

Why would the mogul kick out the residents?

It's not surprising that Jay-Z counts a luxury apartment building in Philadelphia in his list of holdings, but why would he be trying to oust the current residents? Some former tenants went to FoxNews and reported on alleged bullying that was coming from the owner's (Jay-Z) lawyers.

"I’ve been in tears over this…They filed a lawsuit against me knowing that I had paid the rent. The lawyer admitted it to me, yet they still filed the lawsuit against me…It’s total and utter harassment." The lawyers went so far as to give out tenant's personal cell phone numbers to realtors, who tried to show the apartments before they were even put on the market.

The alleged victims brought Senator Larry Farnese into the situation, who wrote a letter asking that "management thoroughly investigate each complaint and handle each tenant on a case-by-case basis, and determine if eviction was appropriate, or if it was not."

No word yet from Jigga about the allegations or about compliance with Sen. Farnese's request. This comes right on the heals of protests against the 40/40 Club in New York for using non-union workers in its re-modeling. Hopefully Jay hasn't started cutting corners in the business world.
